Poll Results Reveal America’s Worst Presidents

Things aren’t looking good for Biden.

A recent Gallup poll reveals that Americans view Joe Biden’s presidency as one of the least favorable in modern history. Conducted in December, the survey asked respondents to rate how each president since the 1960s would be remembered, with options ranging from “outstanding” to “poor.”

John F. Kennedy emerged as the top-ranking president, with a remarkable net positive rating of +68. He was followed by Ronald Reagan (+38) and Barack Obama (+21). In contrast, Biden’s approval rating was significantly lower, at -35, with 37% of respondents believing his presidency would be regarded as “poor.” Just 26% expected his tenure to be seen as “average,” and only 19% thought it would be remembered as “above average” or “outstanding.”

Biden’s low approval ratings come despite widespread media support. In comparison, former President Donald Trump, who faced continuous media scrutiny, was still rated 31 points more favorably than Biden.

The poll showed strong criticism from Republicans, but Biden also struggled to win over independent and Democratic voters. Over half (51%) of independents rated his presidency as “below average” or worse, while only 44% viewed it positively. Biden’s standing was even lower than that of Richard Nixon, the only U.S. president to resign from office.

Meanwhile, a FiveThirtyEight poll showed Trump receiving a net positive approval rating for the first time, likely higher due to potential biases in polling. Many social media users were not surprised by the poll’s results, given the public’s general discontent with Biden’s administration.
