It’s a tough decision.
Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for the Super Bowl on February 9, aiming for a historic third consecutive championship win. However, this situation presents a dilemma for Travis’ older brother, Jason Kelce, as the Chiefs will be facing his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Jason spent 13 seasons with the Eagles before retiring in 2024, leaving fans curious about which team he will support in the upcoming Super Bowl.
A March clip from the Kelce brothers’ podcast, New Heights, has resurfaced where Jason shared his stance on a potential Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl. When asked which team he would root for, Jason didn’t hesitate: “I will root for the Eagles, of course.” Travis, naturally, didn’t take kindly to his brother’s answer, reacting humorously with “This is bull [expletive].” However, Jason stood firm in his choice, explaining that while he would always be an Eagle, he would still wish for Travis to have a great game.
Despite his support for the Eagles, Jason demonstrated his dedication to both teams when he had a busy Sunday, attending the Eagles’ victory over the Washington Commanders and later flying to cheer for the Chiefs during their win over the Buffalo Bills. He admitted that he was “torn” about which game to attend, but ultimately did not have to choose between the two.
When discussing the Chiefs’ ongoing success, Jason credited the team’s consistency and experience in high-pressure situations, particularly the leadership of head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He noted Mahomes’ ability to make plays even when things don’t go according to the plan, and how his chemistry with Travis on the field has been key to their continued success.
As the Super Bowl approaches, Jason’s decision on which team to root for will likely be a difficult one. Although he has expressed his loyalty to the Eagles, the dynamic between the two brothers adds an interesting layer to what is sure to be a memorable game.
