Authorities announced on Monday that three more fugitives have been apprehended following the escape of 10 inmates from a New Orleans jail. Lenton Vanburen was captured in Baton Rouge and returned to custody. He had been incarcerated for parole violations and weapons charges and now faces additional charges related to the escape, according to Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill.

Two others, Leo Tate and Jermaine Donald, were arrested in Walker County, Texas, after leading police from multiple agencies on a high-speed chase. Huntsville Police confirmed that the pursuit ended near US 190 and Geneva, where both men were taken into custody. Donald was originally charged with second-degree murder and other serious offenses, while Tate faced multiple charges including burglary and drug offenses. Both now face new charges connected to the breakout.

These three were among the 10 inmates who made the daring escape on May 16 from the Orleans Parish jail. So far, authorities have recaptured eight of the escapees. Corey Boyd was the most recent to be arrested before Vanburen’s capture. Other recaptured inmates include Kendell Myles, Robert Moody, Dkenan Dennis, and Gary Price.

In addition to the inmates, 13 people have been arrested for allegedly assisting the escape. The latest arrest involves 21-year-old Diamond White, who is accused of helping Antoine Massey, one of the remaining fugitives. Over the weekend, authorities also took into custody several individuals believed to have aided the escapees, including family members of Vanburen.

Two other escapees still at large are Antoine Massey, charged with domestic abuse and parole violations, and Derrick Groves, who faces multiple counts including attempted second-degree murder and assault on a correctional officer.
