Harris Sidesteps Questions About Biden

She’s avoiding tough questions.

In a recent interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, Vice President Kamala Harris was questioned about President Biden’s mental sharpness. Baier asked Harris when she first noticed any signs of Biden’s cognitive decline, referencing previous interviews where she had praised Biden’s ability to outpace his staff. In response, Harris highlighted Biden’s experience and judgment, citing his leadership in critical situations, such as decisions made in the Oval Office and the Situation Room.

When pressed further about whether concerns had been raised regarding Biden’s mental faculties, Harris avoided directly answering the question. Instead, she shifted the focus to former President Donald Trump, emphasizing that Biden wasn’t on the ballot for the upcoming election, but Trump was. Harris then pointed to national security leaders and former Trump officials who have publicly stated that Trump is unfit for office.

Baier mentioned a comment by actor George Clooney, who had recently said that Biden didn’t seem to be the same person he once knew after spending time with him at a fundraiser. Despite this, Harris remained firm, dismissing concerns about Biden and instead reiterating the dangers she believes Trump poses. She underscored that Trump’s own former vice president and others who worked closely with him have also voiced serious concerns about his fitness for office.

Criticism surrounding Biden’s mental acuity has persisted throughout his presidency, with opponents frequently questioning his cognitive abilities. While these concerns have often been rejected by Democrats and media allies, the issue gained renewed attention following Biden’s poor performance during a CNN debate with Trump. This ultimately contributed to Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 race, and Vice President Harris took over as the leading candidate on the Democratic ticket.
