Former President’s Tremors Raise Health Concerns

Is his health in trouble?

Former President Bill Clinton’s recent appearance in Oklahoma City has drawn significant attention after video footage showing his hands trembling during a speech went viral, igniting online speculation about his health.

Clinton was speaking at a memorial event on Saturday to honor the victims of the Oklahoma City bombing, which occurred on April 19, 1995. The devastating attack claimed 168 lives, including 19 children, when a truck bomb detonated outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.

Reflecting on the tragedy, Clinton recounted, “It feels like it just happened — I remember coming here with Hillary for that memorial service and saying, ‘You have lost too much, but you have not lost everything. You have not lost America, and we will stand with you for as long as needed.’” He went on to say, “I believe we’ve honored that promise.”

The video clip showing Clinton’s hands shaking prompted some viewers to speculate whether he might be experiencing symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. However, the former president has previously addressed such concerns, clarifying that while he did undergo medical testing to investigate the tremors, Parkinson’s was ruled out.

“If I had Parkinson’s, I wanted to know so I could be ready,” Clinton explained. “I was tested, and the doctor said it wasn’t Parkinson’s — just a part of getting older.”

At 78, Clinton has dealt with various health issues over the years. He underwent heart surgery in 2004 to bypass four blocked arteries, and in 2021, he was hospitalized due to a serious sepsis infection.
