Former President’s First Post-Office Speech Goes Unnoticed

It received zero mainstream attention.

Former President Joe Biden delivered his first public speech since leaving office last week, though it received minimal attention from both the media and the public. He spoke at the National High School Model United Nations (NHSMUN) event in New York City, addressing students participating in the annual academic conference. However, the appearance was largely overlooked by mainstream media outlets.

Since leaving the White House in January, Biden has made few public appearances, with his speech at NHSMUN being his first live address since then, aside from a pre-recorded video for the Democratic National Committee’s winter meeting.

During his speech, Biden expressed optimism about the future, telling the group of high school delegates, “As I look across the room, you are the reason why I remain optimistic about our future. Your vision. Your commitment. Your engagement.”

Despite the event being presented as a significant moment, no major news outlets covered the speech. There was no broadcast coverage, and mainstream political media did not follow up on the address.
